If being a small business owner was hard, imagine running a successful student-ran small business while pursuing a post secondary degree. We were given the opportunity to sit down with Ranjeet Brar, known to hundreds at TRU as rsb.cuts, who is a successful student barber who offers the cheapest haircuts in town to students out of his dorm, and Lucas Rinaldi, a promising rookie on the Wolfpack men’s soccer team who runs his business, Rinaldi Training, which focusses on offering on-the-ball soccer training to individuals and groups of all age ranges and abilities to discuss the use of artificial intelligence in their everyday lives to supplement and streamline their tasks. Furthermore, Ranjeet, who happens to be studying computer science, knows quite a bit about AI and was able to answer some other questions we had regarding the science behind the tool and what his thoughts were regarding its future. All in all, the episode dives into not only the reliability that artificial intelligence offers to solve challenges faced by a small business, but also the inner workings of artificial intelligence understanding how the very useful tool works, and how the everyday joe can get artificial intelligence to work for them.
